Where to find us:

FROM SHERBORNE:
Exit Sherborne on the B3145 Charlton Horethorne/Wincanton road. Continue past the left turning to Sherborne Golf Club (marked by a small toll house). At Y junction beyond (marked by a red signpost), take the left fork signed to Corton Denham. After 300 yards, turn left into the lane marked with the blue sign “unsuitable for heavy vehicles”. This lane takes you to the top of our ridge and winds steeply downhill all the way to Holway Mill. Ours is the first house on the left with black iron double gates set between stone barns. The gates may be closed because of animals, but feel free to open them and drive straight in.
FROM LONDON AND A303 WESTBOUND:
Take exit off A303 marked Wincanton/Sherborne/Castle Cary. Proceed on A357 following signs to Sherborne. 1/2 mile beyond third roundabout, at Lattiford, take a right turning onto B3145 (direction Sherborne). After approx. two miles you will reach the village of Charlton Horethorne. Continue on B3145 towards Sherborne for a further two miles until you pass a left turning signed to Poyntington. Do not take it, but a short distance beyond this, at unmarked cross-roads, be ready to make a right turning. Having turned off the B3145, almost immediately you will come to a second minor crossroads where you need to cross straight over into the narrow lane opposite marked “Unsuitable for heavy vehicles”. This lane takes you to the top of our ridge and winds steeply downhill all the way to Holway Mill. Ours is the first house on the left with black iron double gates set between stone barns. The gates may be closed because of animals, but feel free to open them and drive straight in.
FROM EXETER AND A303 EASTBOUND:
Exit A303 at either West Camel or Sparkford and proceed to Marston Magna. From there, take either the Rimpton Road directly to Sandford Orcas; or pick up the B3148 (direction Sherborne) and after approx. five miles, take the first left turning towards Sandford Orcas. From the centre of Sandford Orcas, take the lane opposite the village hall (signposted Holway). Head up hill for ¼ mile until you get to a right turn (no sign). At this point you will be able to see Holway just above you. Take this right turning and follow the lane a further ¼ mile into the small hamlet of Holway. Ours is the last house on the right with black iron double gates set between stone barns. The gates may be closed because of animals, but feel free to open them and drive straight in.
